Default Ferret MK 1 E-bay

Hello

There is a Ferret MK 1 in the USA for sale with M series lights. Could be CDN.

It has been on ebay for a while now, but yes, it would likely be an ex-Cdn one. The giveaways are, as you pointed out the M-series lightis, the early rectangular side windows, the Cdn modification of installation of a M-series voltage gauge, and the conversion to the Ansul fire extinguisher bracket in lieu of the British bracket. Another giveaway is the beat up front fenders. The Canadian ferrets were road hard and put away wet.

I would agree with Rob on its origins, but would be nervous about using the square versus angled side hatch definition as a tie breaker ever, some did serve that had angled hatches, I have one.

It is worth what he can get for it, there are none more being made, hope he gets what he is asking, as it makes my second one more valuable

I also believe our production crossed over the mk1 into the mk1/1 production, which if memory serves had slightly thicker front armour and the five sided windows. But 95% of the Canadian Ferrets had the rectangular windows.

I believe the price is also on the steep side for a definite fixer upper. Of the 123 Canadian Ferrets that are out there, my bet is there are still 110 or more of them kicking around North America.
