Any ideas on fixing a cracked intake manifold for my Willys MB.

Find another. The inlets give little trouble, whereas the exhausts are often broken/rotten etc. It should be cheap.

Default Been using the big hammer again....

Hi Jordan

They can be welded by a specialist machine shop..... it will look awful as they have to build up metal to make it strong..... and it may break again if the tab is not torqued carefully.

Finding a replacement is a better fix.....

Have you checked Jim in Arnprior...?

Default New one will probably cost less than repair

Hi Jordan

I've tried over the years to have both intake and exhaust manifolds fixed. Generally it doesn't work. They fail again after a few years.

Did a quick search on the web and I don't think you will have trouble finding a new reproduction for under $125 US. If you really want to find an authentic original I can put the word out in our local MV club to see if anyone has a good original.

Here is one site I found on the web http://jeeppartsguy.com/products/?vi...product_id=348 I've never used them.

Cheers Phil

Brent Mullins (Jeep Parts) here in Texas has intake manifolds for $55US.

WO A-1166 "Manifold, intake, late type"

Main web page is http://www.mullinsjeepparts.com/

There are different patterns of manifold depending on year of production and maker so if you want to replace your busted manifold with the correct type for you vehicle, you might need to do a little research. They are all interchangeable though in terms of wartime Willys or Ford production.

Thanks for all the help.

Mine is an early intake manifold so I was hoping to get the same. But it looks like they are hard to find. The late ones have the ports for the vacuum attachments. $55 is by far the cheapest price though and I may have to go that route.
