Carrier Oil pressure transducer cable

Hi, Does anyone happen to know if the cable for the oil pressure transmitter on a Canadian carrier is the same as used on the temperature transmitter, i.e. a braided cable similar length?.

I dont actually know, but.... I assume (always dangerous) that it comes from the same conduit, and goes over the top of the motor to the bypass valve at the bell housing, and so will be longer than the temp one.

I still have my original wiring harness (in rough shape) from my MkII. All the wiring had the woven, tinned copper sheath, with cotton wrapped, rubber insulated wire inside. At the ends were a crimped on ring to prevent fraying.

It is just a regular electrical wire with a looped connector on the end. Its nothing fancy.

The one that goes right to the back plate. There is a small oval cutout on the bottom of the pipe for the oil pressure wire to come out of. It is a single wire that goes direct from the sender to the gauge.

Thats the same tinned copper sheath that is used on my MkII. It actually is "fancy", and very expensive to produce. The rubber insulated wire was cotton wrapped and the sheath was paper lined.
