Default Aust 25pdr field gun in service

Is there a source to track the history of Australian 25pdr in service?
I would like to know the service history of my gun.

There are numbers on the barrel to indicate when it was converted to muzzle brake configuration/ 1968.

I know it's history from it's time in the CMF but not before.
Was it always in Australia banging away on Saturdays and Sundays or was it
up in the jungles turning Jap infantry into lumpy puddles?

Provenance is what I'm after.

Wayne.
