Default Alpine Skidoo- (Bombardier)

Anyone out there have any of the DND versions of the Alpine Skidoo. Ed Storey gave me contract years of 1973 and 1985. I have finally found a 1985 503cc. It is a combination of a 1974 model deck and suspension with the engine, cab and ski from a DND machine. I am looking for anyone who also has one of these beast and if anyone has any parts squirreled away. Manuals, Mod instructions?

Chris, I was in conversation with a gentleman from North Bay. They sold in 1 day. I could have been first but I was commited to the other seller already. Big loss for me as they were in excellent shape.

Dave,

I was tempted to buy one of those recently, I did however speak to some former owners and users who said they are an absolute bear to turn, so I backed off.

I would be interested to hear your experiences.

You don't need to turn....it has reverse.

These are work horses, not sport machines.

Default Alpine

I have plans to give the machine a good overhaul this summer. I am looking for any NOS parts that anyone who buys of Gov surplus might have laying around. I have found a new cab and belly pan. There is so much snow here I don't dare take it in my backyard as we have 4 ft of unpacked snow. I will give some updates when I get the 503 Rotax rebuilt.

The reason I went for the Alpine is because it is a work horse like Rob said. Not a speed demon but has 2 tracks and thats what a Tanker like mysef gets
excited about.

I will have to see if anyone has any data on these machines. Cab has 00006 scratched into it. That would be the last 5 orf the serial number. The deck is a 1974 with everything else 1985 Military White.

More to follow
