Default AEC Matador aircraft tractor

I'm not sure if this should be in this forum as it concerns post war use of a wartime vehicle but here goes.

I found these two photos of a Matador with a cut down cab acting as an aircraft tractor on Christmas Island.

As the quality isn't the best I cant' make out what the contraption on the rear is. Can anybody shed any light on this? Even better are there any more photos of Matadors in this role?

Both photos came form the here: http://www.servicepals.com/gallery/ which has proved to be a goldmine of useful photos. Unfortunately I forgot to keep the exact link for these two photos.

Very nice - the aircraft behind is the Vickers Valiant, the first of the three 'V' bombers, the Vulcan, Valiant and Victor, which were the RAF's nuclear bombers during the cold war.
