On behalf of Lorraine Campbell:

Hello. Can you post a picture for me , under the Sapper’s forum? This is the 5th Field Co. Royal Canadian Engineers. My grandfather, Sgt. Charlie May, is 4th from the right on the first row. I would love to have anybody identify these men. On the bottom it is written No.2 Sect No.1 Trg. Coy. C.E.T.C.5. Petawawa August 26, 1941.

Thank you. Lorraine Campbell

Probably the last surviving member of 5th Fd Coy lives in my neighourhood! I've met Stanley Clark many times, at the Royal Canadian Legion, at functions and once at his home. He is in good health for a man beyond 95 yrs old!

I have the company history he and others compiled. Perhaps there is a page with the men's names. Will look.

Hi Terry. I think we have corresponded in the past. Are you talking about Stan Fields? I ask only because you have you told me before you had met him. I have a copy of the war diary and mementos and books from my grandfather. I am putting together photos with a time line, doing a family history of sorts, about my grandfather. .
I have correspondence between my gramps and Stan Fields and was fortunate a few years ago to have a couple of emails between us. I will take all information I can get. Thanks. Lorraine.

I suspected you were asking the same question I had answered before, but didn't want to not respond. Stan was still with us last fall.
