Patrick, welcome to the MLU forum.

Stand at the rear of your carrier. At the left side of the rear deck, you will see an angle iron brace and there should be a hull number stamped. This is only a hull number and not the serial number. It will give a good indication as to the age of your vehicle. The lower the number the earlier.

You can also look for the serial plate, if there is one, attached behind the driver position on the bulkhead that separate the engine and driver compartment.

The census number should be stamped into the top of the front armour edge in front of the driver position as well as date of manufacture. Of course if your machine is badly cut up you may find some, all or none of the numbers. Please share your findings and I am sure someone here can help you.

Chris

There is also one more number located on the piece of angle iron riveted to the division plate. It is on the left side, just behind the codrivers head.

The 3 serial numbers (hull, carrier body, and serial) will usually be somewhat close to each other. A very early carrier they could be within 10 or so, but as production got underway, the numbers got wider apart. Still, they usually are no more than a few hundred apart.

Default Some more pictures of restoration

Good evening , everybody, thank you for your interest for my pictures .
Everything is on it's own way now but, what a lot of stuff to make all of it.
I hope she will be something very beautiful.
What a lot of joy to make her "alive" again.
Many parts still restored are awaiting in crates (in plastic bags) their new life.
Here are some more pics of restored parts (make it during end of winter/spring this year)
Have a great day
Best Regards

G'day Patrick

Fantastic quality of workmanship. Just for interest sake, what are you referencing (workshop manuals, photos..) to obtain correct paint codes and authenticity etc?
