Default Carrier tow chain and wire assembly

I am looking for the tow chain and wire assembly and was wondering whether these are a general item, or manufactured specially for the Carriers? If anyone has one or knows where I can get one would be grateful as well. thx andrew

hi andrew
i picked one up from beltring a couple of years ago and was told by the seller that it was correct for the carrier but whether that was just a sales pitch i can't be sure but if you need any dimensions or such like just let me know.

A well illustrated reference manual would be handy in situations like this.

Hi Andrew, I have three sets of original carrier ones wartime dated, not for sale but will bring a set to Beltring if you want to measure one up, You have to be careful when buying post war ones as they are in fact slightly smaller, both link and ring.

Also I think the post war (Ferret?) rope is crimped at the loop round the thimble. The originals are whipped and twined. Ron
