I finally have taken delivery of my suit, it having been sent to a different part of the country...... Fortunately to a friend so I collected at Beltring. As others have observed, the original sizes are not the same, I have an original size 6 which fits perfectly but Irfans size 6 is a little smaller but not enough to be a problem, especially if not used as an oversuit in the strictest sense.

However, a mate ordered a size 4 as his original size 3 is too tight in the body and the new size 4 is a very close match to his size 3 and therefore too small for him. Does anybody wish to buy it? It is a close match to an original 3 which is 5'7 to 5'8 tall, 36"-38" chest, 32"-34" waist and 31" leg. These sizes are over clothes so will fit a larger size.

He is asking what he paid, it is in the UK and available now.

Irfan is finishing off the last couple of re-dos for people that had mistakes in their custom orders.

I have your new interior straps. Send me your postal and I will get them off to you.

Had several cases of suits going to the wrong person.

We had one where irfan shipped three suits to Europe and was told only one was in the box. Box weighed 10 KG. But only one suit.....

Some others have been well made but wrong sizes. A bit of swapping around and I now have a couple of suits to sell....

What a headache!!!!

But, the denim sample is supposed to be in from the mill this week. Irfan will send me pics of it with my original samples in the pic to compare.

If this is correct, then we have to buy a roll of 2,000 meters/yards to get any.

But the plan is that WPG will buy the bulk of it.

When we confirm that the fabric is the right stuff, then we will publish new size charts and go from there.

Hi, guys from my group got their pixies in the mid of July. Nicely made, also the perfect fit. Very good quality.
Only one minus point is that they were delivered 3 months later than promised, so if anyone is going to order some, please count with this.
Thank you for your effort, Jim!

My friend still has his suit available to anyone who needs one, see post at the top of this page.

The suits are excellent but the option of sizing from the original military sizes is a misnomer, they are not made to the same sizes at all. You need to measure yourself and buy a bespoke suit or buy one at least one size larger than an original.

I suspect the sizes on the label have been followed, forgetting that it is meant to be an oversuit.

Jim, I was just over in Arnhem with Martyn Tasker who had one of your suits and an original. Very very good reproductions my friend. Hats off to you.

Default Winter crew (pixie ) suit

I have to admit that in minus 10 degrees and snow there is nothing better to wear when driving an open top AFV than one of your pixie suits my friend ! Keep on the good work and thanks again for the initiative: One additional chevron on your sleeve crewman Burrill .

Just curious if everyone has received there suits or not. I received a goof on the first try and have been on contact with Irfan and keep getting told soon now for several months. At one time Jim told me there was another person having the same issues and was wondering if they were getting the same answer or if they have received their replacement suit.

I still have a "spare" suit... it being way too small for the person it was ordered for.

I will dig it out and give a size estimate here over the weekend.

Hi,

Two years ago i recieved my AFV Coverall from Irfan.

I've worn it on several days, 4 in total and love it, it fits, is warm and a perfect match to an original as i saw several today at our annual liberation day event.

Sadly i have 2 problems with it.

1. The snap on the right leg top pocket came out of the fabrock of the pocket (still attached to the pocket cover)

2. The snap on the right leg lower pocket broke out of the fabric of the pocket (still attached to the pocket cover)

These lower parts of the snapper are not reinforced in the pocket as for the pocket cover is a 2 layer fabric.

Does anyone else have these problems as well?

Default I will pay for fixes

Hi folks.

I think the cost of sending me the suit and back for me to fix far outweighs the cost of getting a local tailor shop or auto upholsterer to set a new snap.

I would ask that you find a local shop to repair the snap and then send me the invoice to pay you back.

I agree... I told Irfan early on about the need to have the snaps pushed through the additional square of fabric. It like someone added the pattern part correctly, but the "stud setter guy" didn't realize what they were for.

So, international postage costs being what they are, lets say the fix is to go to a local shop that you would take any similar problem to and have them fix it and then send me the amount and I will paypal it back to you.
