Tilpa and Louth are buggers to get gear out of .Not too many transport companies do that run
Almost the edge of my work region heading west

G'day All, I went on an invitation shoot on that property about 30+ years ago, I remember being buzzed by a low flying Cessna (tree-top height) one of the Murray's piloting the plane, checking on feral goats etc, good old daze long gone.
I can't say that I noticed any of the vehicles pictured above, it's a long way from Louth to a good sealed road, hope they don't have any rain etc around auction time, anyway cheers and thanks for posting, Dennis

Default Cj3B

The grey jeep is a CJ3B from the early 1950's to 60's , they are still being manufactured in INDIA and called the Mahindra . The export examples have a license built Peugot diesel , but the local Indian market ones still use the old petrol F head motor as a option I think .

Unusual being LHD , must be a private import cos the few local ones sold here by Stokoe motors in Melbourne were RHD.

Another interesting thing is the RAAF used a few :

Yep, you're crazeeee.
Not sure where to start, but suggest you look at the steering wheel first.
Think the Louth one went for $7000 or so.
Rich.

Ha! Shite, didn't even look at the steering wheel. Was looking at the front bar and tyres. Then I read the description and thought I had a conspiracy theory.

Looking in the background of new photos uploaded of this jeep

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1942-Will...item4cf964bed4

..you can see one of the Blitz trucks that was also in the clearing sale. A future ebay listing perhaps?

About the yellow blitz in the 2 photos - perhaps it has already been devoured by the scrappies - their truck was beside the Jeep. It would be a waste, but there's good steel in a Blitz.
