Default CMPs for sale in the United States

link: http://cgi.ebay.com/WW2-Ford-Canadia...item4156447cc9

eBay item #280620203209: F60L 13 cab, cab & chassis, located in Evansville, Indiana

Ad says "US sales only!"

Quote:
WW2 Ford Canadian Military Pattern 4x4 Truck
Seller information: k8lyn2u

For all of you Commonwealth types, Check THIS out!! I have for sale a very rare (in the US) and quite restorable 1940's Ford Canadian Military Pattern Cab and Chassis.
The cab and chassis are mostly complete, as is the drivetrain, engine condition unknown (hasn't been started in years). Very straight, uncut frame. This is the more rare long wheelbase version.
The current owner was going to restore it as a tanker (imagine RAF fuel truck), but has moved on to other projects. Comes with Bill of Sale.
This very collectable truck needs a new home and some TLC to restore it to its former glory. It would make a very cool troop truck for reenacting/parades.
We are located in Evansville, IN, 47713, home of LST-325, and Casino Aztar, in the SW corner of Indiana across from Henderson KY on the Ohio River. US sales ONLY! I like PayPal and certified funds.

Saw this C60L on eBay today. Loks decent, might be a nice truck for someone here. Price at the moment looks really good, no reserve on it.

Chris,

I could not get a hit using the item number . . . is it the ex-Auburn museum C60L?

Regards,
Hanno

Chris,

Thanks; yes it is. It was put up on eBay before as well.

See http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...d.php?p=171808 for earlier reviews of it.

It sold at auction for $16,000USD plus buyers premium.
Maybe the buyer has found out that cmps are not exactly speed machines and is unhappy with the purchase.
I am suprised as the eBay ad does not have a reserve or Buy it Now price.
Optimistic seller I think, to get $16K back on it will be a reach.

The seller pulled the listing for this truck. Bids, when I checked yesterday, were around $2,700 USD......

Default Parts Truck or Restoration Projects

Hi All

Just talking to Kevin on the phone, and taking a look at the pictures he has posted. These trucks may be good candidates as restoration projects or as major parts find. I’d forgotten that the C15 has a 261 engine and the F15 has a flathead.

So take a look at the photos to get an idea of the parts he has gathered together.

If I didn’t have three more vehicles in the shop as projects I’d be considering the package.

Cheers Phil

This chassis/cab was found in a Belgian wood yard decades ago. The rear deck is made up and not very accurate. The Bofors gun may not be the right type for the F60B.

Not saying it is not worth buying, just saying buyer beware.

Default Kalispel CMP

Driving south on US Hwy 93 S, just south of Kalispell, MT, USA earlier today, I was surprised to see a CMP for sale at a place called 'Cycle Haus', the precise location of which can be seen by typing 'Cycle Haus' into Google Maps.

Enjoy!

Mike

Lovely find Mike. Looks like a C8 with cab steps added and a 1 ton trailer body used as a bed(?)

Interesting comment from the seller: "It is all original with what is probably a French flathead. I can send some detailed pictures after a few days."

It looks interesting but there are a couple of things that look a bit out of place - 20" wheels - the cargo box is sitting low on the frame (rear cross member almost touching the frame ahead (!) of the pintle). It's also not a cargo box I recall seeing frequently on 15cwt (having said that, my C15A doesn't have a box so perhaps I shouldn't say more).

Default Ford CMP

I believe this is the truck originally recovered and restored by Robert McAleney of northern BC in 1990. Check pg 45 and the back cover of Wheels & Tracks number 34. I believe Robert told me the box was off either an 8cwt or an earlier model (11 or 12 cab) truck. Some of you avid historians may be able to identify it.

this rare bird (#11 cab 1941 1 1/2-ton 4x4) is available here in the heartland of the usa!

Imported from norway many years ago. It was given to norway following the german surrender by the british and later converted to 12-volt by the norwegian army. This is a real survivor vehicle that is fully operational-convoy, re-enactment & rally ready. Comes fully loaded with everything you see in the photos except my wooden folding chair, my cot & bedding!!

Engine is a 1960 gm 235 that was rebuilt less then 400 miles ago. It has new tires and exhaust.
