Default Radio top rack: C42?

I have these interesting racks that were Canadian Army surplus. They go on top of a C42 and power supply but instead of the familiar flat surface for mounting the control boxes it appears that there is a place for 2 radios sets. Did Canada ever use this configuration and what were the sets? At least they are a great source of nos bolts and clamps. Part number is ZB 14927, 5820-21-111-1804 ... Brian

it's the "tray, metal, 22 3/4 X 13 1/8 X 5 1/8-in". It is used with the wireless set C11/R210. The C11 xmtr is beside the psu. The tray mounts on top and holds the R210 receiver and the ATU.

This set is the HF Larkspur kit commonly used with the C42.

Default Photo of tray

Sorry, I have had trouble completing the photo attachments. I try again. What a drag: it is upside down. All is is part of a ton or so of NOS C42-related cables, boxes, connectors that I am sorting through. There are also some odd-ball cables that incorporate the older #19 sets rubber plugs as if they mated the C42 sets with older gear.

I would very much like a mounting rack and top try for my C11/R210, but I suspect the shipping cost to the IK would be prohibitive!

The WS19 droplead (rubber headphone socket) to 12-way plug you seem to be describing would modt likely be for the C12. If you have other WS19 to Larkspur cables they will most likely be intended for mixed WS19/C42 installations.

Regards,
Chris.

Chris,
Surface postage would about $US 100. PM me and we'll work something out. This rack is in gorgeous condition. Thank you for you help in identifying everyone's radio gear! .... Brian

Default cables

Brian those cables may be from the C-52, C-42 combo's that were mounted in the M-152 Rad vans, do you have a number for them?

Brian.

If you happen to run across an Aerial Simulator Unit No. 1 during your current foraging project, please PM me.

Thanks,

David

PM to David regarding Aerial Simulator. For the interest of others: A long list of C42 cables, control boxes, accessories etc etc will be available shortly. Also I have figured out why some of my pictures get posted upside-down: I use an IPad to take most of my photos. It always presents the image right-way-up no matter how you hold it. However if the picture was take with the IPad "up-side-down" then the picture will get posted on MLU up-side-down even though the IPad always presents it to me right-way-up. ....... Brian

Hi Brian, do you by chance still have any of these racks? I'm completing a c42, r210 radio display for the back of an FFR landrover and have been struggling to find that last piece.
