Default carrier seat

Ive been lent this seat back wondering if there is others or are they all the same that would fit our carrier? Did they all have wood bolted to them?

Default Carrier Seat Back

Hi Max
Thats the Carrier seat back. There is timber attached that is actually the backing sheet for the canvas seat. There is also a metal bar, for want of a better word, attached to the bottom of the metal plate. Of the hundreds of photos of our Carrier I haven't clicked these parts. However this will be an exercise for our new digital camera, I squashed the last one when a lump of metal rolled on it whilst I was photgraphing a Chev Blitz crane. These 2 seat backs cover the air cleaner holes.

Get back to you.
Bob

Default Carrier Seat 'cont 2

This image is where the seat back is located. The two brackets (Part No. 479-1) at the bottom are where the supports (Part No. 479-3) fit. I'm still looking for the supports, I know they are there somewhere.

And here is page 129 from the Spare Parts Catalogue and Identification List showing all the bits.

In my earlier post I said canvas seats but the book describes it as "leather cloth" that I believe to look like that brown synthetic leather looking material that a lot of the early truck seats were covered in. Nobody has yet argued with that description.

Thanks for that Bob, looks like I should be able to make the seats up.

Default Carrier Seat Back Supports

Hi Max, and anyone else.

Turned the place upside down and look what I found. The dimensions are 15 1/2" x 1 3/8" x 1/4". Countersunk screw holes on the visible side.
