A Bantam BRC to Normandy
..... and an early 'slat-grill' Willys MB.
We have recently enjoyed a week wandering the Normandy beachhead area in the two vehicles, visiting such places as Pegasus Bridge, the various landing beaches, the German defences, including York Battery at Querqueville, near Cherbourg, and a host of museums, some good, some not so good. And what a vast array of private MVs tooling along up and down just about every road in Normandy: great to see. Slow ferry to France from Portsmouth, fast ferry return, with both voyages smooth sailing. Thought MLU-ers might enjoy this image of the Bantam & Willys on Omaha Beach. Sounds like a great trip Mike. I hope to do the same someday. Nice photo.
