No
Casting # 3835849 is off a 1952-3 216 passenger or truck engine. What is the casting date code that will be found nearby? It will be in the format A to L for January to December, then 1 to 31 for the date and then 0 to 9 for say 1950 to 1959 (or 1940 to 1941, 1960 to 1960, etc.).

Numbers
The '3' can look like an '8'. There wil be a casting date code near that number. It may be under years of grime!
What is the engine number stamped on the pad on the block? |

Head
Under the valve cover will be found the head's casting number and casting date code which are in the top of the head and not on the side.
