Default Wings and Wheels 18/19 August 2007, Ursel, Belgium

In about three weeks the " Wings and Wheels" show will be held again in Ursel, Belgium.

It looks like there is still room left for vehicles!

The " Tanks in town" event will be held in the weekend after wings and wheels, which might be of interest for visitors from overseas.....

Here are some shots of last weekend's show in Ursel Belgium. Sadly there weren't too many Canadian and British vehicles, but the show was really worth the visit nonetheless.

First an FGT with 1200-20 bar thread boots.

Hello Alex,

We're going to Wings and Wheels, like we did last year!
We are registered as: "the Canucks" with our Ford f15A CWT 15
Hoping for a nice weather and lots of fun!!

Have you been there in uniform, with a vehicle or as visitor?

Greetings

Kenny Desaever

Hi Kenny,

I have been to Wings and Wheels three times now, all of them as visitor. This year will be the fourth time, but the difference with the other years is that I am now also a CMP owner. It is way too early for me to go to the event with it, though. So, I will be there "as visitor" again.

As you can see on the pictures in this thread, I have admired your Ford last year; a really stunning piece of work! I will enjoy having a look at your truck again, next saterday!

Maybe we'll see eachother next saterday.

Alex

hi Alex
Have a good time at Ursel, I wish I was going to be there, but my wife claims that Tuscany is better for my cultural education, I can't imagine why?

Additionally I have found an 8cwt wheel rim in the shed if you don't have a spare...
kind regards
nick

Hi Nick,

I will reply to your email later on. Thanks; I hope the weather is good this weekend; it is good to catch up with a few people. A pity you can't make it, but you have got a good alibi.

Thanks for the offer, but I managed to buy a spare rim from Dirk together with my C8, so to be honest, I already have one. I haven't checked the condition of the other rims, though .

Ciao, Alex

I hope we'll gave some good weather!
The back of the Ford is stuffed with material.

Wings and Wheels was well worth it again. I don't kow how the weather turned out on Sunday, but saterday was excellent.
I counted 3 CMP's, one carrier and a handful of Jeeps in Canadian markings. There was some interesting British stuff, including armor from the Brussels museum. Dirk Leegwater was there with a nice collection of CMP bits.

It seems the number of visitors is rising every year and even though we thought we were pretty early, there were already hundreds of cars parked on the second air-strip when we arrived.

Kenny, I admired your Ford again, but when we were there, it was sitting all alone. I recon you were walking around yourself at the time.

Alex

Here is an impression:
