Default F60T and F602L

I have purchased two prints from the IWM of a F6-T + semi-trailer and also a F602L tanker.

Has anyone ever come across any official Canadian paperwork on the origins of the F60T, and also the reason for replacing the FC60s and FC60L with the # 13 Cab F602S and F602L? I assume that the latter was commonality .. and also saving time & money on cabs.

Default Tanker trailer....

Dave
This is the 1500 gallon frameless tanker petrol trailer ..
There were two vehicle code plate. numbers.
12M-s-PETL-1or-2

Body code plates would read..
10-M-1
10-M-2

It was designed to be operated with a 3 Ton 4x2 134" WB conventional Ford Tractor..

Built by Steel body Manufacturers Assn.
Canada
Manual date..March '45

Default And the F60T

Did Holden's and Australian Ford both produce Tractor units for Australian use?

Yes, we had our own versions of tractors as well as various semi-trailers. The tractors were all based on the 134" wheelbase types. I've never seen a F60T here, although I do know of a workshop manual here, and I have a drivers handbook.

Default Tractor and Semi-trailer

134" Tractor. Note the 2 spare tyres as the trailer ran on 18" rims! This trailer bears a resemblance to a picture of a vehicle posted by Eric Nuyt of a Bus/coach combo rebuilt in NEI.

Default Photos?

Any chance of a decent TIF copy of any official shots of either the Holden C60S or Aussie Ford F60S tractor-trailers please?

Default From the drivers handbook

The chassis layout for the F60T.

Tony's image comes from the DMV book which, although it covers most of the Aussie CMP types (and is a rare book) suffers from poor quality reproduction of the images.

For example this shot of a LP6 arty tractor:
