US Invasion of Canada 1935?

Invasion of Canada Plan
has an interesting study on the possible invasion of Canada by the USA.

I can't say whether this is bogus although the original author was with the Queens University in Kingston. Also until from say 1925 until at least 1935 the British were concerned that there might have been a war with the USA. It seems incredulous now but it's true that this was considered a distinct possibility

I remember this being released when I was studying History at York University. The general consensus at the time was that this was merely a war gaming exercise and nothing more. Canada had similar "Plans" and went as far as sending Officers on "reconnaissance" missions into the deepest darkest most dangerous parts of Vermont, to inspect potential invasion routes.

1930s, limited forces, no funds, so you have to entertain yourself somehow.

I read the aforementioned document. Aside from operations against Winnipeg, Vancouver, and the Soo/Sudbury areas, it sounded basically like a re-enactment of the War of 1812, although this time they would hit Halifax first, and Ontario second. The thing that miffed me the most is that the good major who devised this plan thought Ottawa was in Quebec!
