Default Important announcement

The following message regarding Geoff's situation has been posted on Tanknet so it is appropriate you, our membership are aware of this sad situation. I'll quote it in full and with their permission.

Quote:
Ladies and Gentlemen of Tanknet, it is with heavy hearts that we share with you news of one of the old ones.

Geoff Winnington-Ball is currently in a hospital in Newmarket Ontario fighting pneumonia, blood poisoning, and kidney failure. He is in an induced coma to allow his body to fight and hopefully recover. Staff are in contact with his son Shawn and will post any updates. Canadian Privacy Laws will not allow the Hospital to release any information so please dont call the hospital, we will wait on his son Shawn to keep us up to date. We do not know anymore than this at this time but as we find out more we will let you know.

Please include him in your prayers, best wishes only

Staff
I'm sure we all share the sentiments and wish Geoff all the best for a complete recovery from this serious situation.

Keith

Whilst I am concerned about how our friend and leader is getting on, we can only hope that the best of attention will prevail.

If the Canadian hospital system is the same as ours there is another matter that could be of concern, and that is the financial impact of his recovery.

If we passed around the hat, we could come up with some practable help, which is about the best most of us can do.

Perhaps best done in Canada and I for one will one of the first to hit the can.

Just a thought the situation could be even more serious than we understand now.

Regards

Col

Oh Dear...
This does not bode well, lets hope he is as resilient as the trucks he is so fond of.
All the best to Geoff and family.
Rich.

Smile Sad News

Thank you for letting us know, Keith.
Do you have a snail mail address for his family or even the hospital please?
The Holgates would certainly like to make their support known
Here's hoping for some good news in the following days.
Howard, Jo, Sid, Errol.
