Interesting!
Interesting photo. A MkI* carrier with spare wheel mounted on front and by the looks of it the kit locker mounted on the rear battery box. Or perhaps a MkI Mortar carrier, anyone make out the CT number?
Boys with the later flash eliminator. Sorry the wee short stem for the Bren is not standard equipment but the idea comes from the Machine Gun/Bren Carrier which had a special mounting for the Bren which could be used in all 5 positions on the AA mount brackets. Nigel

carriers
The carrier is marked Z1 and is the CO's carrier, probably that's the rest of BHQ behind them.
I've seen, and can vouch for (in Infantry units): W1,W2,etc, presumably Wireless (sigs) Pl M1,M2, etc, for Mor Pl Carrier Pl, Pioneer Pl, TPT Pl all had carriers, but I have no gospel on their markings... any ideas?
