Hi Peter, it looks like a heat exchange unit, are the hoses connected to two separate chambers?

Default Yes

Inside there is a large coil of I/2" pipe. On one end there are
two small openings, so that makes 4 large...two small.
The other question is what vehicle was it used on?

Default Does the person who identifies this get it for free?

Peter,

Have a look at the attached images. I am fairly sure that it is an "evaporator" which is part of the kit for the WASP flame thrower as installed in a Universal Carrier. I do not have access to a parts list to verify the part numbers but from the research that I have completed FUL appears to be associated with Flame Thrower parts.

I would say Colin has it.

I was darned if I could think of a reason that you would want to heat up gasoline to the point of evaporation. But a flamethrower would be a good reason.

Default Thanks Colin

The person I bought this from (along with a NOS unused road wheel)

said they pulled it off a carrier 20 years ago that was due to be scrapped

from a yard on King St. east in Toronto. Your Dad was one of the group.

He thought it might have been a flame component.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Default Great

Now for a question. That book doesn't have a cut away view
of a flame carrier with all the components showing where the various parts go does it?

Could you please scan and send it?

Thanks
