Default 6 pdr

At show near Chicago. Not something you see in the states very often.

What is the ordnance itself, it's not a 6pdr breech ring?

Hi Adrian,

The owner told me it's a 40mm Bofors breech.

Cheers,

Are the bare bones of it a Cdn/British 6-pdr, or a 57mm American clone?

Here is the same gun, it was the one I was trying to get last year, but couldn't pull it off, has pics and info towards the end, under my postings, not Marc's postings, the other is his.

It is a 40 bofors, modified to fit on the barrel, fires 40mm blanks, the extraction/ejection handle and firing mechanism is on the right hand side. Paul got a great deal on this AT gun.

It's mine. It's 1942 Canadian production but has a 40mm bofors breech.
