Default Interesting but unconfirmed rumour.

Last August 11, a RG-31 from my son’s platoon hit an IED resulting in the injury of five troops.

This was the first of several IEDs that they would hit during their tour. My son heard through the grapevine that this RG has being returned to Canada and will be placed on display at the Canadian War Museum.

P.S. His platoon arrived back home on the 5th of February.

John...If this has merit in being a fact...then I hope that vehicle is displayed right beside the bullet-ridden Iltis in which two Reservists were injured during Op Palladium in Bosnia. (...and you know damn well who fired the shots!)

The CWM has a special exhibition, “Afghanistan: A Glimpse of War” which will be running until 27 April, 2008. It has a G-Wagon, which hit an IED, at the center of the display. If the rumour is true the RG-31 may be part of a new exhibit.
