Default cheiftain tanks in texas

does anybody know of the chieftain tanks in texas there are 4 up for sale plus does anybody have any photos of chieftain tanks at all as i collect them i know of the chieftain in delran nj as i know the guy who owns it but i dont know where the ones in texas have come from can anybody help me with this so i can update my records

they were from a outfit in northern texas (tactical tanks) that closed down last year after the owner was killed in a stunt plane crash. there were at least 5 cheiftains there 1hull and the rest were runners, about 10 abbots, some fv432s and some ferrits. along with a working 88mm DP gun and a 6lb gun both working. i think just about everything has been sold off by now.

Dave's right about the disposition of the tanks from David Estes' "Tactical Tanks" business. The 88 was donated to a museum by David's widow. Are you trying to keep a register of Chieftain tanks? If so, I can ask around to see if I can find out where they went. Derek.

As you are in the UK it may be good to contact Bob Grundy at British Military Vehicles - Ashton in Makersfield - he has shipped certainly 1 Chieftain to Texas and may probably know the right connections to ask? If you need more detail PM me.
