Default Canadian Jeep Rim Color

What was the color of the rims on Canadian Jeeps? I was told they were black is this right? Thank you in advance.... Harold

Whay type of jeep (MB/GPW, M38, M38A1, M151, ETC ETC) are you talking about and what era?

Default Rim colours

Your model looks like a mid war MB or GPW as it has the two bolt tire carrier.
These vehicles would have been bought new or used by Canada from the US military. This is not an early Canadian Contract MB Model.

As such the colour of the whole vehicle would have been the standard US colour unless repainted in the field. Generally these were not in any form of camouflage. The rims would have been painted flat black if it ws a Mickey Mouse or Dapple Camo pattern.

The markings for those used in Canada were different than those used overseas. In Canada they kept them the standard issued paint.

I say generally as anything goes once in the field. I have seen mid or late model jeeps painted different forms of camo in period photos.
