Can you tell me if this will mount on the side mounted 1919 I have for my M38A1 CDN1 1953 I have the side mounted mount for the gun as well the pivot pintol and all the parts except for the gun and the bracket for the box.
PM me please with any infoo youmight have that may help me decide on this...? Thanks Casey

There was no bracket for the C5A1's ammunition box. The box hung off the mount, and a standard 1" wide cargo strap held it in place. All you need is the standard NATO 7.62 mm ammo can you buy at Princess Auto. The 50 cal can is too wide.
You will notice a tray fitted to my GPMG mount if you look up some of the photos posted elsewhere on this site. It is because the ammunition I use on my Jeep does not fit the standard can and also comes in a carboard box....thus the neccessety of the bracket. |
