Default Stromberg carburetor help needed

Hi, I disassembling a Stromberg NA9RD carb from a Continental R975-C1 radial in a Sexton. Or trying to - it's been a battle. And I lost it with the idle tube. It sheared as shown in the photos. I made a sketch of it and I think I can get one made, but does anyone know if any spares are available? I can't find anything searching.

I plan on drilling it out to the point where I can pry the external threads out of the carb body. Does that sound reasonable?

The discharge nozzle shown in one of the photos is putting up a good fight too but with alternating applications of a LOT of heat and PB Blaster I may be able to get it out in one piece. If not, I'll need one of those too. I't's a 3/8" nozzle.
Thanks. Malcolm

Since the engine came from the aviation world, have you checked with aviation engine rebuilders to see if they have suggestions?

Otherwise try some of the specialist carb shops. The carb is unique enough (compared to cars, how many people restore tanks?) that they are unlikely to list it, you'll probably have to call or e-mail

I haven't dealt with either vendor above but The Carburetor Shop has a good rep on stovebolt.com forum (and contributed to the jalopyjournal thread given)

You can try Phillip Connor south of the border. Email me for his phone #. He has been very helpful in any of my dealings with him. He and his father are reputed to be perhaps the best when it comes to round engines.
Dave Yamulla in Hazelton, PA also had rebuilt carbs.

Jesse Browning is another Sexton owner in the USA who may be able to point you in the right direction as well.
