1/35 Model of Ford F60S Bofors
http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrow...elected=280479
This link will take you to some photos of a model in progress. The truck is a Ford F60S Bofors 134"wheelbase. I am converting it from the Italeri Chevy 15cwt. Basically if the plastic colour isn't beige or black it's scratchbuilt. The frame extension comes from Maple Leaf Models. The tires have been widened to represent 10.50X16 Wheels used on this truck. The brakelines, Frame and suspension have either been added or modified. Any comments are welcome. I also need a good photo or 2 of the interior cab of a Ford so I can get the engine cover right. Thanks Sean |

Hi Sean,
Sorry for this being a bit haphazard, but have only just got back online and am trying to catch up. I admire your patience and it seems you have solved the whell problem. One comment though the Fords had a distinctive split diff which would be picked up by the purists! Anton |

hi Sean, the model looks good and I too do 1/35 scale trucks. If you wish to change the diffs to the Ford pattern get the Tamiya Quad gun tractor kit. While it has a lot of inaccuracies it will supply Ford running gear.

Split Diffs
I hate to say it but the diffs are staying. I can't rip out the excisting ones without doing some damage. i've already added brake lines and other doodads.
Cest la vie. Thanks for the info. though. I'll know next time. Sean |

Ford with banjo
Ford used Chevrolets banjo type as well as split type.
Take a look at "Blueprint for victory". Both Ford and Chev was interchangeable into some degree. Chev even delivered frames to Ford, but if that was when the type 13 was in production I do not know. As is, my Chev C60S cab 12 has the rear brake drums stamped with a "F" and has banjo aksles. Rolf |
