Lasy night and this morning Queensland time I have found the site extreamly slow to load. Once into the site (this morning I had to use the back door URL) the folders and threads are slow to open as well.

Just thought you would like to know

We're aware, Cliffy... for about eight hours now, a spammer has been having a go at the server, bouncing tens of thousands of email per minute; in addition, someone's forum was under attack as well - these are what we call 'denial of service attacks'; rooting so much traffic through the connections slows down, times out and then locks up the lot.

I just got home from work, and it was still going on when I left, so it looks like they're at least part-way there to stopping this; speaking only personally of course, I believe a round of live executions on the internet might cause some of them to start thinking about what they're doing.

Looks like this may be slowing down again... which probably means the bastards are at it again. I'm off to work shortly, but will monitor and if necessary, put in another ticket with my provider, from there.
