Default Who has had this happen to them?

Hi Scott

The A little embarassing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cGEg_lQpwk is a classic, how many of us have seen this happen or been the unfortunate focus of other peoples cameras as it happens to us. Always bad to be the biggest or heaviest MV in your club parade group, hard to tow a Half-Track with a Jeep. He atleast had the tow cable just nothing to get towed by.

Wonder what kind of camera and mount they were using in the Halftrack - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxLVENgMv4U video very crisp and no sign of vibration from the very end it looks like it was some kind of magnetic mount stuck out on the armor.

Enjoyed them all will be sharing the A Little Embarassed in or club newsletter.

Cheers Phil

Default Interesting little camera system

Hi Scott

Thanks for the link, that really looks like a neat system and the waterproof cases and shock resistant design would be great for taking trail ride photos and video.

Cheers Phil

Default Wobbie's World

Who remembers Wobbie's World in Melbourne? Any theme park with a Carrier has real style.

Better still, who went for a ride?

Default I take it Wobbie's World is no more?

Hi Keith

Now that was my type of amusement park, I take it that Woffie's World is no more, falling pray to health, safety an insurance companies.

In its day though I bet the kids loved it.

Cheers Phil

Default Music

Surprising that user hasn't been banned for breach of copyright on the music. Isn't the singing of the gears nicer to hear?

Here is a fantastic collection of military movies (mainly aviation) going back to BEFORE WW1.

Default Now thats my type of roll back

Hi Scott

I really like the hauler and the rollback unit, being able to the platform down flat on the ground just makes so much sense.

That they had the fire extinguisher right out to hand is impressive planning, these guys knew what could happen. Going to put a link to this in our MV Club Newsletter with a picture entitled Thinking Ahead.

The running it around on the moto-cross track was good. Does anybody know off hand the earlier post that had lots of links to the same track location and the event held there?

Cheers Phil

The Dutch Cavalry units have turned in their Leopard tanks and have reverted to horses - it takes some time to get accustomed to riding horseback again

I'm flattered Keith. As a professional film maker you have probably noticed the sound doesn't always match the imagery....

Default You tube video.

I can waste many hours watching this stuff..so full of optimism, drive, ambition, .......and a surprising lack of high paid help and politicians...

can you imagine a Captain running this show?

British Pathe films have being uploaded to YouTube. For example if you search for "British Pathe 1944" you will find a lot of interesting films like the following.

Default Mine would drip oil on the camera

Hi Scott

Always enjoy videos of people showing off their prized vehicles. Like the starting bit of driving over the camera. But all I could think of if I tried this with any of my trucks they would decide to dribble oil on the camera lenses.

Cheers Phil

I did notice at 9.06 (clip No2) a NSW historic registered Dodge in US Navy livery, and sitting next to it (left of Navy Dodge) is a vehicle that I recognize from our part of the world Hunter Valley NSW, some really nice vehicles in attendance, I've also looked at google earth at some of the locations, cheers Dennis

Default Now we know why they take the engines out

Hi Darrell

Good video, now we know why they have been taking the engines out of military vehicles for displays.

I would really like to know how long this thing had been sitting? That it started is one that it moved under its own power and was able to steer is amazing.

Can see a plot for a movie in this, tunneling to the belly escape hatch, bring in batteries and fuel. Then what?

Cheers Phil
