To all the rest of the MLU gang...Merry Christmas and sod the buggers who want to call it Seasons Greetings!

Jeez, Bridge Class 5 eh? Sometimes you remember too much for your own good! Yeah, that's it, just show the folks how far I've fallen since back then when I was pure & pious, whydontcha?

And plan your day?? All you do all day is bugger about anyway, might as well give you something to keep what's left of your mind occupied!!

Season's Greetings to you too, Skag! And you can pass my best wishes to Betty for a very Merry Christmas!

PS: I'll see if I can get up there to say hello sometime soon. PM me your open weekends, would you? It would be same drill as before, except we don't get to go racing through the backroads of Grey County in a C-15A, dammit!

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
when you're perfect in every way.
I can't wait to look in the mirror
cause I get better loking each day.
To know me is to love me
I must be a hell of a man.

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
but I'm doing the best that I can.
I used to have a girlfriend
but she just couldn't compete
with all of these love starved women
who keep clamoring at my feet.
Well I prob'ly could find me another
but I guess they're all in awe of me.
Who cares, I never get lonesome
cause I treasure my own company.

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
but I'm doing the best that I can.
I guess you could say I'm a loner,
a cowboy outlaw tough and proud.
I could have lots of friends if I want to
but then I wouldn't stand out from the crowd.
Some folks say that I'm egotistical.
Hell, I don't even know what that means.
I guess it has something to do with the way that I
fill out my skin tight blue jeans.

When I learned this ditty, the first line was...

"Oh, Lord, it's humble to be hard..."

Default Merry Christmas and Seasons Greetings

To all those Servicemen and Women who will be away from home and loved ones this holiday season, a very Merry Christmas and Very Safe New Year.

To all of you who, throughout the year have shared your knowledge and sense of humour....and especially to GWB for all your efforts keeping us "connected" in this very busy and sometimes frustrating world of electrons,

I wish you all the best this holiday season and much health, wealth and happiness in the coming New Year.

From Sunny (and now coool) Windsor Ontario

Default Christmas morning

Vicki has given up on geting her garage back so she gave me a work bench. The tools on the bench were a present from my boss as a Christmas bonus.

OH, VERY VERY GOOD! I am not sure whether the tears in my eyes are from laughter or the fumes

As for Sunray, if he were a dog I'd shoot him for being that lame..but, seeing as he isn't , guess I'll wish him a Merry Christmas . Be assured that there will be the "MISSING PLATE" formation at the christmas dinner table for you lad!!
Now bugger off and have a good one before I get all misty...that goes for the rest of you lot too Alex, Chris, Gordon, etc etc etc.

Merry Christmas
Sean

Default So what did you get?

I received an unusual gift from my father in law...

His complete oxy set (minus of course the bottles which are rented). There's also some soldering bits and pieces, all in a nice old wooden box.

Default An MLU Christmas?

I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words, noting beyond all else that none of this would be here without any of you. It has been my privilege to have been able to bring us all together here in what is probably the most unique community on the internet! I thank you for that.

This photo will always be 'Christmas' to me:

Default BTW...

... I treated myself to a Canon A720 IS digital camera today, complete with four NiMH batteries & charger and a 2 gb memory stick (what the hell, might as well have something for Christmas this year!). A really good price at Henry's to-boot.

Now, who wants to mess with this bastard......

EXCELLENT Geoff ... glad you finally have a digital camera ... you're going to have fun with that, and they come in so handy!!!!
Sounds like you have all the bells and whistles with it too ... I couldn't spring for more than just a cam on sale with only the connecter to upload photos to computer. Camera only holds about 16 images at a time (have to upload from cam to computer or delete pics in camera before taking more ) meaning ... need software loaded to accessible computer to take more than 16 if away from home. Those attachment bits for the camera that hold more images aren't in me wee bitty budget

A great Christmas gift to you!!!

Nah.... Howard, it's only about 35 over 'what was', albeit all of that is pure A.T.T.I.T.U.D.E. (read: TAKE.NO.PRISONERS)

Photos will come in time, soon as I figure out how to work something with this many goddam buttons!
