Default Clearing Sale Blitz

This truck is at a clearing sale on Feb 5 at Walla Walla, some where near Albury. It looks like a good truck.
There seems to be a few trucks at clearing sales at the moment.

Eric, you beat me to it
A customer of mine faxed me the clearing sale notice & I rang the vendor today.
Motor does not turn over. The toolbox, spare carrier & driver's door are gone.
On the positive side, it has been shedded since 1966, so the cab should be in fairly good nick.
I am unable to go due to work comitments. Are any MLU'ers going??

Noticed that the Walla Blitz was advertised as "good condition". If this means a seized motor and missing lots of the good bits I wonder what a "non runner in need of resto." means?
Reminds me of a large clearing sale I went to a few years back that had a "running" AACO, it may have run, but was missing tailshafts....

Default welll.

Well its fairly complete.. I reckon that you would have to go to try the engine for yourself...

Most 67 year old vehicles do not have an engine & most who do, won't turn over after so long..

Scrap value would make this truck a cheap buy & hence Eric has been good enough to post it on MLU.

Its too far for me..... or I would go to the auction, make a bid & take it home on a tray top.

You will note:
Hatch
Tac plate holder
Bumper
glass is intact

those things are hard to get.

Ian
It is only a hour or so from here, but I have work commitments & therefore unable to go. I think the truck is a good starting point... certainly better than the trucks that I have to date!

Did anyone get to the auction?
Do we know what happened to the truck?
