How not to wear Highland Uniforms!!
I was flipping the TV remote Saturday afternoon & caught the opening ceremony for 9/11 at the Notre Dame university football game, where their highlanders from the band raised the Stars & Stripes before the game. They are wearing full dress with tall stovepipe shaped fur shakos. They look like they just rented the uniforms off the shelf from a costume store. The kilts are too long, hanging down below their knees, some too big for the wearers, their hair sporrans hanging down below the knee, the white belts & cross belts haanging down loosely below their waist lines.
Someone's gotta go down & volunteer their services in getting these guys to look proper,at the same time suggesting they get proper highland feather bonnets!! |
