Default Temora January Flying Weekend

I was there recording some audio of the Hudson but also took a few pictures:

The beautiful Meteor F8, VH-MBX makes a canopy pass.

And the Ryan STM putters past.

The Vampire whistles by inverted. Note the venting fuel.

More pics here.

If you're in Australia, and interested in aircraft, you really should try to get there on one of the flying weekends.

Hopefully the Wirraway will put in an appearance at this year's Corowa event.

You can check the flying dates here.

Ah you know how to make an old man happy.

22 Sqdn used to have a twin seat Vampire when they were still flying Mustangs.

Whole pile of USN guys there with the AJ2P Savages, photo recyy aircraft, now that is a sweet sounding airplane.

Vampire taxi past, Yank says "He bud what that little airplane that looks like a P38, but sounds like a Vacumn cleaner.

Regards

The Volvo Ocean Yacht Race is in Melbourne at the moment and I was invited out on ABN AMRO (Not the current one I hasten to add) but nonetheless a genuine ocean racer - what fun! (And I was paid to be there).

Read Frederick Forsythe's short story THE SHEPHERD. That'll fix you on Vampires for all time...

Night all!

...and you'll notice he has strategically parked his butt next to a bevy of lovely sheilas! Kieth, you remind me of the Old Bull, Young Bull joke!

Well, SOMEONE had to be there to hold them so they didn't fall off the boat when we tacked! The one next to me was a model. Tough job but someone has to do it.
