Default Ever seen one of these?

Hi there

While at a model show today, a fellow had a question about a model HUP he was building. He asked, if it was in service in 1942, what colour would it be? I told him, SCC No.2 more than likely. He then pulls out this book flips it open to the correct paint chip and says 'Like this?"

'Uh, yeah, I said, just like that'

Anybody else seen this book lately?

Steve

Nope.

I suspect you weren't able to pry it away from his cold, dead fingers, then?

Default Camouflage book

Hi there

I"ve been promised it in the fellows will.

He's 10 years younger than I am, but still, it was a nice jesture.

He got if from his mom, who was a life-long librarian and archivist who always saved things she may have thought would come in handy some day.

I took digital photos of each page, but at some point I hope to borrow it long enought to make proper scans.

Steve

A book like that is worth it's weight in gold... or oil!
Certainly well worth being re-printed and flogged off to the modeling and MV buffs around the world!
