Here are link to a number of related threads:

UK suppliers
- Wiring help: link to http://www.autosparks.co.uk/ and http://www.thewiringharness.co.uk/

AUS suppliers
- Wiring help: link to http://www.vinwire.com.au

US suppliers
- Wiring rehab: link to http://www.vintagewiringofmaine.com/
- C-15 Wiring harness topic (old forum): reference to Harness Unlimited, British Wiring (also in the UK) and Precision Wiring

Is this of any help?

Cheers,

The latter company has changed ownership, their website is now https://thewiringharnesscompany.co.uk/. No reference to CMP or any Canadian vehicles can be found on their website.

Autosparks lists three options for "Ford Canadian" without any helpful discription. They do not list a Harness Set for Chevrolet.

Seems Vinwire in Australia is the go-to place for CMP wiring harnesses!

Highly recommend VinWire from Australia. I posted a number of pictures of the harness install in my C15A-Wire 3 thread.

I saw those, Jordan - looks very good. I have requested a quote for a harness for my F15A.

Default Vinwire update on online pricelist

I got an update from Vinwire:

Quote:
Unfortunately the website price is not up to date at all - the previous owner, who we have just bought the business from, had a few price increases over the last few years & never updated the online pricelist.

There is roughly a 6-8 month backlog of orders at this stage.
The price for the 1942-45 F15A wiring harness went up from to advertised price of A$650 (date accessed 21-apr-2024) to A$900 excl. GST ( ) Add postage ($85-$100) plus import duties and I would have a landed cost of roughly EUR 775.

I going to consider some other options too...

Default Loom comments.......

It seems the particular issue with wiring "looms" it the loomed cotton cover that wraps the bundle of wires....... the deivce if I am correct is a circular loom much similar but smaller scale to a common stocking loom from the 1940s.......

Now when Phil Waterman made a limited very high quality copy he found a Eastern USA manufacturer that did the looming part (probably marine /boat related) for the bundles of wires that Phil sent them...... if that simple but complex step to making a wiring "loom" can be sourced in North America...... it seems to me that the wiring, connectors, and diagrams are readily available....... given an old dried up complete Chev CMP ( which we have) then two sheet of plywood painted white with a bunch of nails and you can reproduce the wiring bundle.....but if you have to ship it to a "Loomer" and pay the labor ++ shipping both ways than no wonder the price is going up.....

Now where can we find in NA or the UK a manufacturer willing to do small order of custom looming????? buying that old equipment in working condition is probably out of the question.....

You can buy copper tinned wire looming tubes by the roll or the yard flat as a ribbon and various width....... is a ready made flat ribbon tube similarly available...... same is available in synthetic nylon fibers as a scuff protector.....

Common guys lets overload Google search engine

Default Found tons of it....... in China......Ebay

Worth exploring as an alternative for DIY......

They have cotton braided....... also synthetic shrink braided.....

Have yet to find a cotton black with one yellow tracer.........

it is called braided sleeving tube.........

prices are reasonable and I have had material shipped to my home very fast no custom hassle........ but would not buy 100 meters without a small sample.....

....back to looking......
