Default 47 Jeep Frame

Anyone looking for a 47 Jeep Frame? My pal Bill has one for sale that includes all the running gear less the tranny, engine and sheetmetal. From what I saw, the frame looks OK. If you are interested, and have $400.00 to spare, PM me.

If anyone's curious, reproduction MB frames seem to be $1400-1800 depending on the vendor.

Default Ye4s but....

..unless I'm mistaken this is a CJ2A and is not workable as an MB.

For one, the steering bellcrank setup is totally different between the CJ2A and the MB/GPW. One is setup on the frame, the other is on the axle housing..

I hope I didn't cause any confusion. I was not trying to suggest that either one could be a substitute for the other, just a very rough cost comparison. I didn't do enough research to find out whether the CJ frame is reproduced, although on second look it isn't clear that early CJ frames are reproduced.

Perhaps we should all switch to LandRover, apparently replacement chassis are available back to the Series 2.
