Default Dominion Rubber Company, Kitchener Ontario

In the 1980's I wrote to Dominion Rubber Company to ask about the status of their wartime Dominion Royal chevron pattern tire molds as I recall the plant was either scheduled to close or restructure at that time.

They conformed they still had all various sized molds on site related to their production and retreading operations for these tires, but were unwilling to sell them at that time.

Does anyone in the Kitchener area know whatever happened to that plant and it's equipment inventory? Be interesting if those molds were ever sold off and to where. May have gone straight to scrap, but perhaps are still sitting somewhere in the area.
