So Rich, It looks like:
For the British and American old blokes, 29 7/8" x 1.000" I.D. x 1.125" O.D.
For the Europeans, the "on to it" old blokes, and young blokes, 758 mm x 25.4 mm I.D x 29 mm O.D.
The trick will be positioning the last two (of the four) holes, so that when the front and rear assemblies are both in neutral, everything lines up,and still goes full travel in each gear at both ends (gate and box)
I,m still not sure how smoothly this went in production. Do you tighten (or loosen) the tie back rods, or the engine mount bolts, to make it work?
Drawings showed that early carriers had an adjustment. It looks like a silly idea that would keep working loose (to me)Probably why it was gone before the U.C.
I am yet to assemble one to find out how it comes together.

Default Excellent thanks guys

That was the one piece I was missing!

The equivalent piece on an LP2 is only 4" long and 3/4" ID for your info.

Rob

Rich, you are a true MLU'er. Gets up at 2:00 AM, stubs toe on bed post, searches for camera for 30 min. in dark, stumbles out to shop half naked in the pouring rain, takes pics, breakes back into house after locking himself out,and posts needed pics and measurements on line for free.

Seriously, good work,Rich!
