Default WANTED- 235 Engine for a C60L in UK

Hi

Anyone know of any 235 Engines in the Uk that may be for sale? I would like to replace the 216 that is giving us major water loss problems at the moment. Alternatively how much work would a GMC 270 be to put in instead? We need to get this mobile asap as it is required for some events in April.

Thanks and regards

Gary

the 270 block is an inch or so too long, go with 235 or 261

Gary..As Marc said stick to the 235-261CI engines..To install the 270,among other changes, a whole new rad shell has to be manufactured and the grill is out about two extra inches to accommodate the 270C..give the truck an unusual look ,as if it isn't bad(GOOD) enough now..

Bump- still looking. desperate to get a 235 so we might get the C60L back on road for this season. failing that will be breaking it up for parts or a trip to the Dems range and blow the faffing thing up -at least a youtube film might raise some interest.

I cannot believe there is a world shortage on these engines HEEELLLLLPPPP

possibly instead of looking just for an engine...or adverts for an engine... perhaps look for an old and poor condition 50's era Chev truck and get the whole thing just for the engine?

Have you contacted the various american car clubs in the UK? I imagine, many of them will have swapped out their original 6cyl for V8

What about Norway or France? lots of american car clubs in France
break up the 60 for parts....arrgggghhh
