Default Measurement check for UC Mk2

Just a quick query, can someone please measure the width of the firing slot on the gunners front protection plate on a Canadian UC Mk2 ? I just want to check I am correct before I start cutting into steel plate ?

I checked our Cdn mk2 carrier which has original armour. Stephens measurement of 5-1/8 seems to be bang on.

If you want to split hairs, I could measure it with a digital caliper.

Hello Richard
That's original armour with plenty of paint but talking to Ross he has measured his as 130.98mm with his digital calipers so bow to his superior tool.

Cheers Stephen

Hahahha thanks guys, the system works ! Sub mm tolerance won’t be needed on this vehicle I think I have a considerable amount of work to do before I begin cutting the steel.

But worth it, as they say the devil is in the detail !!

Look after the hundredths of a millimeter, and the centimeters will look after themselves.
