Default Iltis stuck in gear

So was enjoying a nice run on a sunny day, popped in the clutch to turn a corner and gear shift would not move out of 4th. No amount of jiggling or playing has moved it. No warning signs, no funny noises, no fluid loss, no vibration or shaking. Clutch still works. Just solidly stuck in gear.

Any ideas what the problem is (bearing in mind I have the mechanical abilities of a dead slug.....)

Are you driving with 4 WD engaged, and the rear diff lock dis-engaged?

try rolling the veh backwards and see what happens.

(If I still lived in Vic, I'd be there already.)
