Default Writing a book on the CMP 8-cwts

I am in the process of writing a book on the CMP 8cwts I already have photos of the HUP Computer version and the The Ford F8 8cwt truck.

I am looking for preserved examples of any of the other versions to photograph.

In particular the HUA Ambulance, the HUW Wireless, the Machinery ZL version, the HUP Personnel and the Chevrolet C8 truck

If I can find examples of the early (run-flat) and late bodied (spare wheel carrier) versions that would be a bonus!

I am based in the SW of England so if you are within a day's travel ( due to current restrictions) own any of the above and would be happy to let me take some photos or know someone who owns one please PM me.

Thanks for reading!

There are numerous photos of Chev C8 and one of Ford F8 in RNZAF service on the RNZAF Museum photo on line collection. Search for 'truck' https://fotoweb.airforcemuseum.co.nz...on/?q=%20truck

If you want to take pictures of a C8A HUA, try to contact Nick Bullock. He owns the ex-Bart Vanderveen HUA which was later restored by Ian McCallum:

John Corden and Marty Morren have HUMs. All of them are on this forum.

There are a couple of C8s kicking about in the UK, too.

Looking forward to your book on C8 & C8A’s.
Hope this helps

I agree with Hanno; maybe Nick can help out. Apart from the HUA, he also has a C8 Wireless. Nick is in East Yorkshire.

Jan,

This thread has some HUW photos: http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=13544

As discussed, I'll send you a large size scan of the one I posted in that thread today.

Hi Kostas. I've been in contact with at least two previous owners of your HUW and who have shared great information with me. I'd love to see pics and hear more about your restoration.
