Default CCKW, US6 wood tarpaulin bows.

Hi everyone. I've just ordered some new canvas, and 10 steel corner elbows (if that's what they're called) for the Blitz tray - which is actually a Studebaker US6 tray. This is probably a discussion as old as the hills, but does anybody know what a) the measurements are for the timber posts/stays/supports and b) what a suitable timber to use might be. I've done this once before, many years ago when I had the Studebaker, but I remember the wood I used was crook (it split and broke etc) and it was undersized somewhat - from memory it was 'off the shelf' so it was probably some metric measurement. (We were racing against time to get the truck ready for the Back to the Track event in '95 ).
Many thanks, Warren.
