Anyone else on here think its great when you see a wartime picture of a carrier which the crew has named. It gives the carrier character and makes it individual.
spotted this picture with the carrier aptly called 'LIGHTNING'. Kev.

Hi Kevin,
That is always very nice. Although not war time pictures I have some of a friends Carrier that was named "Vera Lynn" by it's crew during the war. The name was found during restoration under many layers of paint. Last Beltring Dame Vera unveiled the restored Carrier and she also signed one of her autobiography books for me!
