Default Radiators

,
As I am not sure what the radiator setup up is on the British and Canadian carriers is? This question and request for information is mainly directed to the Aust and New Zealand members of this forum,a lot of the carrier restorers have problems locating good usable tropical cored radiators and fit the ones from the Ford blitz, not really a problem, except the water outlets are the wrong ones for a carrier and do not line up properly with the water pump pipes, are there any replacent outlets being re manufactured??
or does any one know of a supply of old stock outlets?I realise that its possable to fit flexable pipes but it does not look to good,as we know the outlets on an original carrier radiator are lower than on the Blitz truck one,
any ideas ?? Regards Ron

Default Radiator Outlets

Hi Ron - I can't remember what these came off and the part number is not listed in the Carrier Spare Parts List. If they are of use you can have them gratis plus $10 postage.

Bob, those outlets are the same part number fitted to a radiator I posted in THIS THREAD, which Pedr says are Blitz style and won't line up with the water pumps in a Carrier application. Is that correct?

If you and Ron agree they are not suited to a Carrier, I'd be interested in them to replace the corroded/cracked ones pictured.

Default 100% Carrier

Not quite right there Tony, they are the ones that fit a carrier.

Blitz ones are fifty percent below the bottom tank and fifty percent straight out the back of the tank.

The ones on your radiator are One hundred percent below the bottom tank, as are the ones Bob has shown.

They are available as a copper outlet from speed shops if you look hard enough.

Pedr
