Default Early prduction Ram II and Kangaroo?

I've had this picture sitting on my hard drive for a while now and figure it's time to ask your opinions of what might be taking place here. The tank in full view behind the Churchill ARV is obviously an early production Ram II ( auxiliary turret, tool box on fender etc.) I'm not sure what the two large boxes above the engine compartment could be..perhaps experimental wading trunks? Another question, just nosing in from the right appears to be a Kangaroo made from a late production Ram II, or perhaps, even a Sherman. Your thoughts gentlemen?

Hello Kevin,

The Ran tank in question is an ARV. Also the tank on the right looks like a Sherman, maybe also an ARV.

Kevin isn't here right now so I'll respond for him You're right, it is a Ram ARV. I've found a rear quarter view of a Ram ARV which I've uploaded with this post. Does the Ram ARV employ a winch or does it simply pull stuck vehicles? And what is the small spool for?

Correct. All three vehicles in the picture are ARV's.

McStolly told me a small spool is called a bobbin. I have three of them. I do not know what they are for. Ask Mrs McSpool

You're right, there are no stupid questions - not after trying to find the answer first, that is.
Search for "Ram ARV" on this forum and ye shall find the answer.
