Default Side Curtain question

I have two excellent side curtains that are in very nice shape.
I am painting my truck light stone as you have seen on the restoration page. QUESTION: would it be appropriate to paint the canvas on the side curtains which are currently green? Or is there another option? Other than leaving them off.

cheers

Default Paint away

Hi Mike

First I'm sure that in service if the color of the truck was changed they either left the side curtains and frame alone or they painted it the overall color of the truck.

Now as to the practical side this is exactly what I did on my HUP when I repainted the truck I masked of the windows and sprayed the front and back of the canvas. Paint on the canvas has last 20 years.

Cheers Phil
