Default Fort Rodd jeep

Anyone know the provenance of this jeep at Fort Rodd National Historic Site at Esquimault BC? The cage is there to protect it from marauding visitors perhaps? Lots of bits missing however.

Default Fort Jeep

They drive it regularly and do like to look after it. It had a full restoration over 25 years ago and yes vandals did swipe some bits and bobs. It is however a primary artifact with lineage back to the fort at some point. I’ve seen the pictures of it back then. You just missed 2 recent events so next year be sure to visit on the Victoria Day weekend.
